Blown away by how great our trip was. We did "climb the mine" and it was fab. Sofia ,12f, really enjoyed it too. It was like go ape but in an old slate mine which was very cool. Great scenery around the area. Lovely cafe and really unique stuff in the slate mine shop.

This was really incredible. Nothing like jumping off a mountain to make you feel brave. Really good guides kept us safe as we climbed through the mine. Great slate shop too

We did the adrenaline pass! 100% worth it! When we got to the free fall/jump at the end I was shaking like a leaf, felt like I couldn’t jump! But Matt our instructor calmed me down and give me the confidence to do it! I would have been gutted if I didn’t do it !!

I tried Via Ferrata Xtreme at Honister. It was a mind- blowing experience! The feeling and the each movement during the climbing is extraordinary beautiful. Once completed you feel such a wonderful accomplishment. Would def recommend especially for those who loves climbing.

Camping

If you fancy a night under the stars, or bunking up in a barn, Seathwaite Farm offers simple accommodation in a truly stunning rural location, and all within a short walk/drive from Honister.

Seathwaite Farm camping barn sleeps 10 and offers a communal lounge with wood burn, kitchen area, and toilet/shower block.

Glamping

For a back to nature experience without compromising on comfort, Inside Out Camping have 6 yurts on the river bank at the bottom of Honister Pass.

Each yurt is 16ft in diameter and can accommodate 5 people, with enough room to walk around comfortably inside, a wood burning stove, fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable futon style beds.

Guesthouse

Seatoller House is a beautiful guest house, located at the bottom of Honister Pass. Offering a friendly welcome, and good home cooked food.

With 10 rooms, sleeping 10-28 people, you can book exclusive use of the house, which includes the library, sitting room, restaurant and tea bar, which serves hot & cold beverages, snacks, local beer, wines and spirits.
